How DisclosureChex began
Our team has been developing software for families and professionals for more than 15 years. Our earlier platform, MyClassroomConnection, has been used by preschools throughout the country to help teachers and parents communicate more effectively.
DisclosureChex grew out of a very different kind of problem. Founder David Diamond, an MIT-trained software developer, was the parent of a daughter going through a custody case. After repeatedly reviewing Disclosure Income and Expense Declarations and the supporting financial records that came with them, he kept running into the same challenge: important details could be scattered across many pages, and finding inconsistencies, omissions, and follow-up questions took time.
He decided there had to be a better way. Working with his team, he developed DisclosureChex to help family-law professionals review Disclosure Packet packets more efficiently, identify items that deserve a closer look, and organize the questions that may need to be asked next.
Our goal is straightforward: use technology to make financial-document review faster and more systematic, while leaving legal judgment where it belongs - with the attorney and legal professional handling the case.
